Vinyasa – Appropriate for all levels of practice. Flow from one posture to the next fully connected to breath and intention. Lots of clear modifications offered for both the absolute beginner and seasoned practitioner.
Heated Vinyasa – Flow in a room heated to about 90 – 95 degrees. Slightly faster-paced than non- heated classes, but appropriate for all levels so long as you can stand the heat!
Heated Vinyasa II – Expect arm balances, some inversions and an artful sequence leading you to an aspirational peak pose or two. Level of instruction is geared to students with an established practice. Heated environment to approximately 90 – 95 degrees.
Dharma Mittra – Long held poses, deep relaxation, breathing and meditation.
Express – $12, Same amazing practice, just short and sweet, 60 minutes.
Core Express – Your quick, weekly energizing and invigorating vinyasa yoga class. Various core work will be woven throughout a thoughtful hour-long vinyasa class focusing on poses that challenge balance, create stability & build strength.
Community – $7.00 drop-in, cash only. Proceeds donated to various charitable organizations throughout Newport County. Appropriate for all levels. Heated Community class has room at 90 - 95 degrees.
Honey Flow - In this nourishing but activating flow class we will move slowly and rhythmically..Giving access to much more space in the body and mind. We allow more space for feeling and activating our more primal and sensual selves. It is a fundamental practice in self care. Asana flow, circular movements, breathwork and witnessing are own process are the techniques and foundation of this class. It is a moving meditation.The room will be warm (not hot) ,the lights will be low…please join us.
Kundalini Yoga is a 5,000-year-old system of yogic exercises and meditation that is designed to give you a “hands on” experience of your highest consciousness. There are three basic components to Kundalini Yoga. There are the physical postures, thousands of kriyas (exercise sets) that strengthen the nervous system and balance the glandular system for optimum physical and emotional health.
Breathing techniques (pranayam) help in processing emotions and feelings, relieving stress, and developing concentration. Mantra (sound, or Naad Yoga) and meditation techniques work to direct and discipline the mind. The practice of this yoga offers powerful tools for developing one’s own higher consciousness and increasing wellbeing, vitality, and connectedness to life.
Yoga Nidra - Deep Healing Relaxation. Created by Sri Dharma Mittra, our guided restorative session to help you break free from the stress of the noisy and restless world that maintains its presence in our bodies and minds at all times. This practice will allow you to take the time to let all the cells of your physical body, joints and organs destress and begin to find balance. This result occurs on an unconscious level as your bodily systems become healthy, balanced and refreshed.
What to wear: Whatever your comfortable in! Most students wear loose fitting cotton clothing for kundalini and yoga nidra.
What else to bring: A yoga mat, (we have them here if you don’t have one), a water bottle (we have filtered water at the studio to re-fill your bottles), and an open mind.
