Come spend a Saturday evening with us in a workshop dedicated to the practice of self-care. We have all heard the phrase you are what you eat - this workshop is an opportunity to learn about all the different ways we can feed and nurture ourselves. Nutritionist and yoga teacher Jessica Patricio will share her deep knowledge on the practice of mindful eating, as well as the reason behind different types of food cravings. Restorative yoga teacher and healing coach Rebecca Polan will then lead a nourishing restorative yoga practice, with tips for poses easily done at home so the joyful work of self-care can continue after the workshop. The afternoon will conclude with lovingly made raw vegan cheesecake bites to try out our newly-learned mindful eating techniques. You are what you eat, so feed yourself love!
Rebecca Polan is a yoga instructor, business consultant, writer and healing coach. She is certified to teach Vinyasa (200RYT through Thames Street Yoga) and also received additional certification to teach Restorative Yoga (Sudha Lundeen). Rebecca is passionate about the healing power of the body-mind connection, which is the thread that connects her work with her students, her clients and her writing in a weekly blog: www.yogamusingsblog.wordpress.com. Rebecca has her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Boston University and a BS in Biology from UMass Amherst.
Jessica Patricio is a graduate from Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in California where she earned degrees as a; raw vegan gourmet chef, un-baking arts, and the science of living foods. Jessica is a certified Raw Vegan Nutritionist, Reiki Wellness Healer, and works with clients using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has her 200hr RYT Vinyasa via Thames Street Yoga with Patti Doyle and Liz Lindh and 500hr with Live Love Teach & Free Life People Yoga School. Jess has had several recipes published and runs a delicious raw vegan website Living Girl Living Foods.com
