Movement and Creativity

  • Thames Street Yoga 4 Equality Park Place Middletown (map)

“Art helps us to tell our stories about what it is to be human.” - Heidi Darre-Hope

There is a language inside of us that reveals our inner truth and knowing. The process of expressive art and movement is a way to access this language and tap into this place of deep knowing.

Kara Discenza leads this workshop, which will be a combination of yoga/movement, and collaging as a creative hands-on process to assist emotional well-being. We will create space to listen within to see what is presently calling us...

Maybe there is a challenging emotion you are dealing with? Maybe you feel stuck? Maybe you have an important decision to make? Or maybe you want to awaken your creativity? From this place of listening within, you will create an expressive collage to reflect your inner world.

There will also be space to share your experience in circle (sharing is optional)

No art or yoga experience is required, just an open curiosity.

Most materials will be provided - please bring your own scissors for collaging. Feel free to bring extra magazines and/or paper/journal of your choice, or any other materials that may assist your artistic process.

Workshop is limited to 12 people, pre-registration is recommended.
