The Places in Between: A Slow Flow Experience with Caitlin Marcoux

  • Thames Street Yoga 4 Equality Park Place Newport, RI 02840 (map)

Come explore the in-between places; the moments that happen in transition between asanas, and the beauty of nuanced self-expression, in this down-tempo Slow Flow master class. This Prana Vinyasa inspired workshop is open to any student with a desire to deepen their somatic experience of lunar yogasana.

Our practice will focus on linking hip-opening and heart-opening postures with Chandra Namaskar and other lyrical namaskars in a deliberately and meticulously decelerated way, so that a profound technical understanding of the postures can be explored and greater attention can be paid to the psychosomatic experience therein.

After being a pilgrim on the Prana Flow® path for many years, Caitlin is deeply honored to be a part of Shiva Rea's Global Prana Vinyasa Tribe, and is thrilled to be an assistant in Shiva's Prana Flow® Teacher Training program. As a yoga teacher, Caitlin is known for her unique synthesis of asana and dance (BA, Dance and Choreography, Bard College, The Walnut Hill School for the Performing Arts), and for infusing her teaching with wisdom inspired by her triumph over multiple cancers.

Primarily teaching Prana Flow® Yoga, Caitlin has brought the transmissions of this lineage to multiple yoga festivals, including 4 appearances at the LoveYoga Fest, Unifier Festival, and The Nantucket Yoga Festival. In 2015, Caitlin was honored to be a regional headliner for the Main Yoga Festival, and in 2016 she was a featured presenter at The Yoga Reaches Out New England Yogathon.

She has been profiled in N Magazine Mantra Magazine and Origins Magazine for her work as a yoga & cancer activist, and is thrilled to be a part of Shiva Rea's online school, YogaAlchemy.com, where her course "Grace & Fire: How to Use Yoga and Mindfulness to Navigate Cancer” is available for download.

When she’s not teaching yoga or indoor cycling classes, Caitlin can be found coaching standup paddlers at Paddle Nantucket, or working with private clients on improving their health and wellness through therapeutic massage, meditation and private yoga.
